Set up ETR Advisory in 2013, the vehicle via which he is offering his own services. He has recently started to cover the regulatory aspects of blockchain and crypto-currency use.

Gavin Ferguson has worked within the Gas and Power industry for nearly 40 years. He has worked on many initiatives and served on industry Committees led by OFGEM, FIA, EFET and National Grid. He recently retired from his role at Centrica, but is still very active within the industry.

He is currently involved as the Facilitator on the Enerchain project, where he is the point of liaison between the energy trading companies and Ponton, the company who are developing the project.

Gavin also leads the recently-created Standardisation work group at EFET, where he is focussed on eSM (Electronic Settlement Matching).
